Science How We Use Minerals and Rocks? By Max In our home we take in minerals through our food , such as iron in meats and whole grains. Some other minerals like sodium, and zinc. I get through chips or almonds or sunflower seeds. Our bodies need these minerals give to us long lasting energy, to build up our immune system and healing of wounds. We don't really have much need for rocks in our home they are more useful outside for fire pits, or a chimney. The train tracks near our house are surrounded by rocks to support the tracks. Rocks make for great decorations and work surfaces in kitchens, but because of how they are acquired from quarries they are expensive in large amounts. Still it if fun and interesting to collect them for crafts or just looking at.
